Day one:

Join us for a drive to Bathurst to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the release of the MX-5 in 1989.

We’ll leave Hayward’s Bay go up Macquarie Pass through Robertson, Goulburn, Taralga, Oberon and on to Bathurst. This is a great way to get to Bathurst avoiding the Traffic and Traffic Lights of the Highway over the Blue Mountains.

Morning Tea: This will be at Moonacres for our regular Mazda’s in the Mist.

Lunch: Will be at the Tangled Vines Café in Taralga.

Dinner: Bathurst Panthers Leagues Club, 132 Piper Street, Bathurst.

Accommodation: Governor Macquarie Inn, 19 Charlotte Street, Bathurst. Cost from $100 for a small Double room to $138 for a larger Superior Queen room. This price includes a Continental Breakfast. There are plenty of rooms available. Telephone number 6331 2211. You will need to book your own accommodation.

We’ll aim to leave Robertson at 11.15am arriving in Taralga for lunch at approximately 1.00pm. After lunch we’ll continue onto Bathurst aiming to arrive by 4.00pm.

After booking into our accommodation it will be time for Beer/Wine and Snacks.

Dinner is booked for 6.30pm for those who want to attend. We can be picked up by the club Courtesy Bus at 6.15pm.or you can walk the short distance to the club. There are lots of options for meals within a short walking distance.

Day two:

This event is being organised by our MX-5 Club Captain. Festivities start 11.00pm with a Photo Shoot of cars and members followed by a drive around Mount Panorama race track. The Charity lunch is then to start at noon. There will be a raffle and other fund raising events with proceeds going to Careflight.

After the Anniversary lunch you can catch up with other Chapter members and take the time to drive the Bathurst track again if you wish. It is a 60kph, speed limit which we strongly suggest you observe. You can make your way home at your leisure via the Blue Mountains, back through Taralga or through Crookwell to Goulburn. The road through Crookwell is now all sealed.

Your RSVP will be required by 1st February for bookings to be confirmed for venues.
