Shannons Wheels 2017
All MX 5s are invited to join us at the 2017 Shannons Wheels on Sunday 12 March, in conjunction with the Canberra Day celebrations.
This annual event will be held in the two Treasury Car Parks, off Commonwealth Avenue, between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. This year, the streets between the two car parks will be closed to non-participating cars so that the public can walk freely without having to dodge the normal traffic in Langton Crescent and Newlands Street.
Mazda’s American cousins, cars from the Ford motor company, will be the featured display, in commemoration of their cessation of production in Australia. They will be parked in the streets between the main car parks around the Treasury Building.
Our Club will be situated roughly where we were last year, in a semi-shady spot in the car park to the west of the Treasury building. Please see the attached map for details.
Coffee and food stalls will be available on the day.
Entry is by a gold coin donation to the Technical Aid to the Disabled (TADACT).
