28th July MX-5 Club Motorkhana at SMSP skidpan

16 June 2018 / Ian Combes

Update 11/7/2017 : Sorry, got my dates wrong - you have another week (until the 20th July) to enter.

Sadly, this is the only Club motorkhana at the SMSP Skidpan in 2018 - we will do better next year!
(Although, don’t forget the Club’s NSW State motorkhana round at Nirimba TAFE on the 12th August)

That means we won't be having a championship this sorry, sorry (no trophies).

The Sydney Motor Sport Park skidpan is a large flat concrete area which provides plenty of space for any mistakes, and the surface will be watered through the day to provide a low grip surface and so minimise wear and tear on cars and tyres.

This motorkhana day is intended to cater for drivers who are inexperienced in car control and to provide them with a fun set of motorkhana style challenges to test and develop their skills, as well as offering some tricky bits for more experienced drivers.

Since this motorkhana is on the same weekend and the Philip Island 6 Hour Regularity, many of the regular volunteers won’t be at this motorkhana, so we need members and friends to put their hand up to help run this event. Mainly we need people to do timing and registration in the morning. Please email competition@mx5.com.au if you can help.
