Mark and Hella's Dark Day Out

We all enjoyed a great run in beautiful weather for our trip to Taralga for lunch and then onto Wombeyan Caves for our tour.

After an excellent run up Jamberoo Mountain road with no slow coaches in front of us, we were joined by new members Ivan & Belinda Harris who joined our convoy at Bundanoon. Lunch was at the very popular Taralga pub where we met RPM chapter after their own run. All the food was excellent and the serving sizes were huge! Even the 'light' options were of a very generous size. Definitely worth the drive there just to eat!

After lunch, only 6 hardy souls braved the dust and continued onto the caves. The road has recently been graded and was actually worse than when we did the test run 5 months ago. Just 20 minutes of it, but enough to warrant a full wash and detail when we got home! With only 2 staff members on, and a problem with some dogs stuck in a creek, we decided to forgo the guided tour and do the Figtree self-guided cave to allow the staff to attend to the stranded dogs and man the office. The cave was beautiful, we had a great time and even got home early to clean the cars.

Another great MX-5 day.
