Motorkhana Practice Day

28th June 2015

Sydney Motorsport Park

Wet Skidpan Motorkhanas are an awesome way to develop car control skills and get a foot in the door of the exciting world of club level Motorsport.

No matter if you have never driven a car before or if you have done hundreds of track days, you are sure to have a blast and learn a lot of skills in a very safe environment. By utilizing the wet skidpan wear and tear on the car will be very minimal and there are no walls or high speeds to intimidate drivers. No need for spare tyres, just bring your MX-5 and your smile!

Come and join the club as we run our first event on the skidpan for this year. We will be offering help from experienced instructors to help you get the most out of your time on the Skidpan. We are aiming to have timing at this event for training evaluation not competition so you can see how much you have improved over the day (and possibly bragging rights at your next chapter meet!). The very popular elimination battle will return after a resounding success at last years event. This will be a side by side, head to head battle for fun at the end of the day until we reach a battle champ. No trophies, no pressure, just for fun!

Motorkhanas are the most affordable form of motorsport and multiple entries are encouraged, so bring your partner, bring your kids (12yo and up can enter) and get the whole family involved.

If this event sounds great and you want in, be sure to keep an eye on upcoming email newsletters and the club website for entry forms. Make sure you get your entries in quick, as spaces will be limited to ensure there is enough tuition and drive time for all entrants.

Help Wanted

As with any event we will need volunteers to assist in the operations of the day, so we would like to put out an open call for volunteers to assist with coaching newcomers, timekeeping and marshalling. We are also looking for two pop up gazebos to keep our timekeepers out of the sun/rain. Remember many hands make light work. If you feel you can help with any of the roles please send an email to David at competition@mx5.com.au .
