NatMeet 2016 - Registration is now open

15 February 2015 / Don Nicoll

It’s happening – a once-in-a-lifetime national MX-5 gathering in Tasmania!

It’s what you have been waiting for! It’ll be a big trip, but worth every cent and every second invested!

NatMeet XII is set for the Country Club Villas in Launceston over four fantastic days – Monday-Thursday, 15-18 February, 2016 – that will take full advantage of Tasmania's fantastic roads and all that the holiday isle has to offer.

With just on a year to go, it’s time to plan and get organised.

The NatMeet motorsport event will be held at Symmons Plains before NatMeet proper, on Saturday, 13 February. This day will also be a competition day for the host club’s Motorsport Team, so it’ll be an exciting, well-attended day with plenty of talent and rivalry.

For the really keen track enthusiasts, we can offer a second day’s (non-NatMeet) motorsport at Baskerville in Hobart on the Sunday, 14 February.

We are holding NatMeet XII away from the traditional Easter period to take advantage of lower costs and less traffic on the roads. We are also saving costs for the Bass Strait crossing, by taking advantage of the last few days of the daylight sailing on the Spirit of Tasmania.

Registration is now open, via the Vic/Tas Club’s website.

Places are limited … so please get in early and register now.

The site outlines the event registration fee.

Other participation costs will need to be paid separately, direct to the supplier at the time of booking. These will vary, depending on individual preferences and availability:

  • The Spirit of Tasmania cost depends on whether you book a seat (for a day sailing) or a cabin (for a night crossing) – and what level of cabin you want.
  • Accommodation: choose from a range of room styles and sizes.
  • The motorsport event costs are yet to be finalised.

But the first thing to do is register!

For further info or questions, our contacts are David Collins on 03 9755 2167 and Bruce Gray 0478 219 856. The NatMeet email is natmeet2016@mx5vic.org.au.

We hope to see you all there.

Cheers
