MX-5 Club members who participate, will be anointed as trainee ‘Detectives for a Day’ and will be issued with a set of clues pointing them to various locations where forensic evaluations of each site will be necessary to gather and record evidence vital to the successful completion of your trainee ship.

In order to participate on this day you will need to demonstrate:

  •        Organisational skills for packing a picnic morning tea.
  •        Ability to take digital photos – (and later show the evidence at final debriefing) A phone will do or digital camera.
  •        Ability to use your car’s navigation system, or google maps on your phone or read a map.
  •        Acute observation and recording skills.

You will be asked to travel to identify and record information from four different alleged crime scenes and report your findings at a fifth and final lunch time meeting spot, where your evaluations will be analysed by fellow trainees and a score allocated to assess your worthiness to be crowned ‘Gumshoe of the Year.’
