Pull on those long johns and don the scarf and beanie! With the roof down and heater on high, join the Hunter Chapter for a breakfast run down the Putty Road to the Colo Riverside Cafe. For the keen drivers this doubles as an "Acclimatisation Run" for the infamous Brass Monkey Run in July. For those who can't make the Brass Monkey run, this will give you a taste of what it's all about.
If it's anything like last years Putty run, it's going to be cold (and lots of fun)!!

**Two start options, please see below

An early start to beat the traffic, we'll meet at Cessnock McDonald's at 7:00am for a prompt 7:15am leave (if you want coffee etc at McDonald's please arrive earlier to give yourself time!) and then we'll head off in convoy through the vineyards to Broke and the start of the Putty Rd.
Central Coast Members attending, please see optional Southern start details below.
Once on the Putty it's a "Drive at your own Leisure" to Colo Riverside Cafe with the spirited drivers up front and those who prefer a more cruiser style of drive towards the back.

We will have a short toilet stop and re-group at Grey Gums Cafe before heading on to Colo Riverside Cafe for Breakfast and Coffee.

Due to the simplicity of this route there will be no run sheets on the day. Simply follow your nose and the convoy of MX-5's to the Putty Road.

Hunter start: Approx. 167km / 2 hours of driving to the destination including a short toilet break at Grey Gums Cafe.

Central Coast Start: Approx 100km / 1 hour 40 mins of driving to the meet point with Hunter at Broke - (please wait in your car and jump on as Hunter drives past) then another 1 hour 40 mins from Broke to the destination including a short toilet break at Grey Gums Cafe.

A full tank of fuel is advised before arriving at the meet point.

Breakfast menu available in the link at the bottom of the page. The serves are very big and the prices very reasonable. (and most importantly, the coffee is brilliant!)

The run officailly ends at breakfast. However after breakfast you have many choices:
- Make your own way home via the M1 (approx 2.5hr back to Beresfeild)
- Continue on and explore the historic township of Windsor (20mins further down the Putty Rd)
- Do the return trip back up the Putty (approx 2hrs back to Pokolbin)
- Or complete the "Loop of the Yengo National Park" via Sackville & Wisemans Ferry and up the Great North Road (approx. 3hrs to Wollombi).
