Mad Hatters Berry Run
RUN GRADING: This run is graded HARD and will be a Waypoint run (+200Kms)
An early dawn buster of a run in your favourite piece of headwear. This run was started by George (Two40) in 2009, and had been a standing tradition and a BreakFast Club run since.
This early BreakFast Club run will take us approx 200kms through the roads less travelled. Instead of the traditional route hugging the coast, we will be heading west before making our way south.
The early start will have us out on the road before the cyclists finish their morning coffee's and should have us on a clear run down the old Princes Highway and along Appin Road. We will then drop down into Broughton Pass, over the dam wall and along to our first Waypoint stop at Douglas Park.
After a quick 10 minute stop we will continue our way south through Bargo, cross back over the mighty Hume and around Mittagong.
A blast over the escartment along Range Road/ Tourist Road will have us at the top of Macquarie Pass, where we will throw a right and meet up at our second Waypoint stop at Roberton Pie Shop (Owners are club members).
From there a quick drive down Moss Vale road will have us crossing the old bridge at Kangaroo Valley and onto our Breakfast location in Berry
Waypoint Sites: Douglas Park (10 mins), Robertson Pie Shop (15 mins)
