Sliq's Run Up the Putty Road
This drive is a standing tradition for the Breakfast Club to kick-start our events every year. Originally created by a forum-mate ‘Sliq’ (Michael) and later inherited by ‘BadBong’ (Victor), this classic drive up the Putty Road to the Lower Hunter includes the challenging gorges before Milbrodale then across to the vineyards around Pokolbin via Broke for breakfast.
This year however, we will venture a bit further and head
towards Café Wollombi for breakfast. After breakfast you can either head back to
Sydney quick smart via the freeway or travel along the Old Pacific Highway on a
scenic route.
RUN GRADING: This run is graded HARD and will be a Waypoint run (200Kms)
WAYPOINTS: The first waypoint will be at the halfway house service station (now closed)
The second waypoint will be Milbrodale Road, Milbrodale (just off the Putty Road)
