Spinning Wheel Tech Day
Spinning Wheel Tyres is a long established automotive business specialising in prestige cars and special fitments. Spinning Wheel have the latest camera technology, wheel alignment equipment and trained operators to provide the most accurate and best driving result possible for your MX-5. In 2010 & 2012 Spinning Wheel managed an alignment day for the Club that was very successful and well received by all those lucky enough to get an alignment slot or be present for the subsequent tech talk. This time around the Club has organised:
Alignment
Whether you are a new owner or long term driver of an MX-5; here is a chance to have Spinning Wheel align your wheels and provide expert advice on options for your car’s suspension and tyres. The Club has negotiated a very special discounted alignment cost for members only for the tech day (see below for booking details).
Lunch
A bulk buy in of pizza and light refreshments will be organised on the day starting at around 12:30pm for those up for lunch and the tech talk. Lunch will be at the cost of the attendees.
Tech Talk
Everyone in the MX-5 community interested in tyres, suspension and brakes are welcome irrespective of whether you have taken an alignment slot during the morning or are just attending the open forum after lunch. After the doors are closed to the general public at 1:00pm, Spinning Wheel specialists will share with you what they know and take questions from the floor about tuning your suspension from the choice of rubber and brakes to aftermarket accessories to best suit your MX-5 and driving expectations. The tech talk is open to all in the MX-5 community whether they see themselves as a track driver, spirited road user or prefer to cruise with their car properly set up. Spinning Wheel specialists will answer questions and encourage participation from the floor. You will leave knowing more about suspension tuning than you knew when you walked in.
Cost
The cost of an alignment on the day is discounted to $77.00 for members only. Non members will pay $88.00 which is less than the advertised price for this service. Spinning Wheel will open up one hour early and guarantee 11 slots and more if they become available through the morning.
Bookings
MX-5 Club members:
To book a slot a member need to send an email to breakfast@mx5.com.au setting out:
- Your name and membership number; and
- Your rego plate, colour and MX-5 model; and
- Nominate four (4) slots in your order of preference. The first available slot off your list will be reserved for seven (7) days from the date that you are emailed a booking number then lapse. If your slots are already taken we will contact you about open slots then available during the morning of the event.
Within the seven (7) day period you must ring Spinning Wheel, quote your booking number and pay for your slot with a credit card and confirm the payment by email to breakfast@mx5.com.au. Your slot will be recorded on this webpage.
Non members:
Slots will be reserved for members up to the 3 November 2013. Non members are invited to email breakfast@mx5.com.au providing the information sought in items 1 & 2 above as applicable, plus their preferred slots to take a position on the waiting list. Non Members will be contacted by email and given a booking number and the times for all open slots that can be secured after 4 November and advised to:
- Contact Spinning Wheel and pay $88.00 for their slot; and
- Confirm payment by email to breakfast@mx5.com.au nominating up to four (4) open slots in your order of preference.
Slots will be allocated sequentially from the time of receipt of the email confirming payment and given to the first open slot nominated then posted on this webpage.
All vacant slots from 4 November 2013 will be open to everyone in the MX-5 community.
