RPM run to Windsor boatshed

13 November 2023 / Jacqui Quester

Tuesday, 7th of November, 2023., turned out to be a beautiful Spring morning, perfect for a midweek MX-5 run.

18 people in 11 cars set off from Glenbrook to lunch by the river in Windsor.

From Glenbrook we proceeded along the GWH turning off towards Springwood and onto Hawkesbury Road driving through Winmalee before reaching the famous "wrigglies" that provide lots of bends and turns, perfect  for our little cars.

Crossing the Yarramundi Bridge we noted the devastation caused by the last big flood.  Heartbreaking to see such a beautiful part of the Hawkesbury destroyed by mother nature.

We continued over the North Richmond bridge turning left onto Terrace Road for a stop at Streeton Lookout (yes that Streeton) to admire the beautiful views of the Richmond Lowlands, Hawkesbury River and the RAAF base.

By then everyone was ready to go on for lunch at the Windsor Boatshed where, without a doubt, they serve the best fish and chips in town.  As usual. there was lots of laughter and camaraderie with all agreeing that it was a thoroughly enjoyable day.
