President's Picnic
The annual President's Picnic is the showcase event for our Club. As usual, the day will focus on the Bits & Bling Show, Concours d'Elegance and ... a free lunch for club members.
Please complete a Lunch Registration Form so that we can cater for the right number of people.
THE CLUB RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL OR VARY THE ANCILLARY EVENTS UP UNTIL SATURDAY 13 SEPTEMBER 2013 DUE TO WET WEATHER.
PRESIDENT’S PICNIC
The events will be held at Tunks Hill Precinct (Picnic Areas 20, 21 & 22) within Lane Cove National Park. The best entry point is off Lane Cove Road via Riverside Drive between Eden Garden Centre and Lady Game Drive. See map here.
Feature events on the day will be Concours d'Elegance and Show Us Your Bits 'n' Bling.
REGISTRATION & PARKING
On arrival at Tunks Hill Precinct in Lane Cove National Park, all attendees must register before proceeding to park their car on the roadside as directed by volunteer parking marshals. Parking of cars on the open grassland areas of Tunks Hill Precinct is strictly prohibited.
Please note that vehicle entry fees are $7 per vehicle per day. The park has coin-operated 'pay and display' machines (please bring correct coins); some machines accept credit cards.
CONCOURS d’ELEGANCE
Concours is for unmodified MX-5s judged for their originality and presentation. The Judging Sheet provides details of the assessment criteria. Pre-registration in Concours is essential. Please complete the Events Registration Form by 5pm Friday 5th September. Concours competitors are requested to print the Judging Sheet, complete their details, and bring it to the event.
SHOW OFF YOUR BLING
Bling Awards replace the more traditional Show 'n' Shine as an opportunity for everyone to show their MX-5s without having to prepare their car for Concours. The Bling event is judged on the best overall appearance and awards are presented for NA, NB and NC categories. Engine areas and boots are not considered by the judges in the Bling event.
SHOW US YOUR BITS
Bits Awards are for those into modifying the appearance or performance of their MX-5s. Our expert panel will select the winning NA, NB and NC for the best modified MX-5s on show.
SPECIAL TROPHIES
Additional awards will be presented for:
- Best in Show
- Best Ladies MX-5
- People's Choice
LUNCH
A free lunch of BBQ chicken, salads, bread and soft drink will be provided for club members who have pre-registered. Attendees may choose to bring their own food or beverages to supplement those provided. Forsyth's Coffee will be on site to sell coffee to those who need their caffeine hit.

VISITOR PARTICIPATION
Non-member attendance is welcome provided they comply with our Visitor Policy. Non-members will be ineligible for trophies, however Certificates of Merit may be awarded where appropriate. Non-members who wish to participate in lunch will be charged $25 per person.
