A Bush tucker Morning Tea
When we were there recently the menu included a crocodile wrap, an emu or kangaroo enchilada, a ‘native’ sausage roll, scones with bush-ingredients jam and a chicken wrap with lemon-myrtle mayo. And good coffee – very important! It’s a very simple menu, but quite unique.
Coming from Kurri, it’s on Old Maitland Road (aka Wollombi Road - where we live) on the right side immediately before the point where you cross the Hunter Expressway.
Plenty of parking, indoor seating and a gallery of gifts and art to explore. The café is run by the Barkuma Neighbourhood Centre, based in Kurri.
Numbers have to be finalised by noon on Saturday 24th as the café is only open a few days each week, so please BOOK NOW if you would like to come along.
