Australia Day Run to Cordeaux Dam
Come and celebrate Australia Day 2016 at Cordeaux Dam with a BBQ Picnic with other club members from the Sydney Chapter and RPM Chapter. Meeting time will be 8:45am for a 9:15am sharp departure. Our aim is to arrive at Cordeaux Dam at the 10:00am opening so that we can maximise our chances of getting a good picnic shelter!
We will start at Figtree McDonalds like we did last year. This time we'll head for Mount Kembla and then take the scenic & twisty Harry Graham Drive along the top of the escarpment to Mount Keira and then zip up Picton Road to the Cordeaux Dam exit. This will be a very short run of only 32km and just 35min. It's all about the social gathering for a picnic!
At Cordeaux Dam, we will be meeting up with club members from the Sydney and RPM Chapters. The cricket bat will surely emerge for a friendly game of hit & giggle. Who knows, we may even see a reprise of the Wacky Races that proved to be a hit at the 25th Anniversary Celebration.
Free electric BBQs are provided at the dam, but BYO everything else.
