Bay Aid Escapade
We have decided to postpone the proposed Murrumbateman weekend and instead head to Batemans Bay. It is hoped our stay and monetary spending in the Bay will help in some small way to support this devastated community.
ONLY 8 rooms are available at the Zorba Waterfront Motel at a cost of $150 per room, and have been reserved in the name of Tony Heathwood / MX5 Club Illawarra. Some may not have water views so get in early if you want a view.
Members wishing to reserve a room need to call the motel direct on 4472 4804 to confirm a booking in their name.
Last date for bookings at Zorbas is Friday 7th February. After this date our reserved rooms will be offered to the general public as well, meaning that it may be booked out. There are other motels nearby. e.g. The Esplanade Hotel.
We have two options for dinner Saturday night; Kholi’s Indian Restaurant (brilliant Indian food) or the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club. Majority response will decide the venue. Please indicate in your booking response your dinner preference.
Lunch on the return trip Sunday is planned for Coolangatta Estate Winery @ 12:30 p.m.(wine tasting optional). Please indicate in your lunch response if you will be attending.
Some other chapter members from Sydney or Illawarra not necessarily coming on the weekend run may wish to travel down on the day for lunch occasion. If so, please indicate that you are attending on the booking form for the run. Only complete the last option!
