Breakfast Venue is the Club Jervis Bay, 8Currambene Street , Huskisson ETA between 8.00am and 8.30am.  The Club will be serving breakfast from 9.00am f until 10.oo am with parking in Currumbene Street and in two car parks either side of Currambene Street and off Owen Street Huskisson.

The Brass Monkey as a waypoint run that will head off from Eastern Creek at 6.00am sharp for Huskisson for the first time with an option of joining on the M32 at Menangle, Illawarra joining the chase on the M1 at around 7.35am then on to Club Jervis Bay. Canberrra will have an independent start in the dark from Lyneham for the charity breakfast starting from 9.00am.

Are you up for it?   Thousands of driving enthusiasts over the past 30 years have chased the Brass Monkey being an experience like no other and worth getting out of bed at sparrow’s fart to enjoy the best one day run on our Club’s event’s calendar.  Appropriately dressed. with your top down or detached for the ND, you will participate in a memorable fun run to raise money for charity starting under the stars and driving into the dawn to raise some money for our club’s charity, CareFlight, with likeminded drivers, family and friends.

WHERE DO YOU PARK AT EASTERN CREEK  - If you get to Hungry Jacks for a coffee early, then park in the car spaces between the entry side of Hungry Jacks and the back of the Ampol Service Station & Car Wash to minimise delays on exiting for the run up the M4.  Do not anticipate the start to minimise delays on exiting the car park or an incident with no passing the lead car until we having travelled a least 200 metres on the lanes of the M4 heading west.

WHAT IS THE ROUTE OF THE MAIN RUN:   You can go whatever way you chose to get to Huskisson for the Brass Monkey Breakfast, but this year we have two organised starting points and other places to join in on the fun.  The main chase after the Brass Monkey starts under the stars at 6.00am heading off on the M4 from the Eastern Creek Service Centre to the M4 interchange slip road onto the M7 south bound to merge with the M31 at Prestons, then passing the Partridge Rest Area at around first light after a drive of about 50km to turn left onto Picton Road for a run across to the M1 interchange at around 80 km for the long run on the M1 through Wollongong, Dapto then past Haywards Bay at about 110km before continuing down the highway through Nowra to turn off at about 183km onto the Jervis Bay Road for a 12km run to breakfast.

CANBERRA ROUTE TO HUSKISSON:   Though similar on Google that estimates the run from Lyneham to Huskisson as being similar to that from Eastern Creek, the weather and road conditions could be quiet different on the day and their anticipated arrival is around 9.00km.  A short version of the Canberra run will see them drive across to Tarago then onto Nerriga for a run down to Nowra and on to Huskisson.

There will be two organized for return runs earning MOTY points.

Canberra Run   A run home that retraces the route down from Canberra

DISTANCES :   Eastern Creek to Huskisson is approximately 195km. Lyneham to Huskisson is approximately 196km.

TYPE OF RUN:         The Brass Monkey main run is strictly a point to point waypoint run with no traditional run leader, route map or run sheets whilst the Canberra has a run leader without a route map or run sheet.  Both runs are graded Long due to the speed limits on the motorways and conditions driven on some backroads.
