THIS RUN WAS SCHEDULED FOR WHAT TURNED OUT TO BE FATHER’S DAY ON THE REGULAR CALENDAR. THE RUN HAS NOW BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND ON THE CLUB'S RUN CALENDAR
Don the appropriate gear for a top down run on the second weekend in Spring for brekkie and home for lunch on the Mad MX Route to the Old Road Warrior Café at Mt White for breakfast. If you like the idea of some wide open sweepers coupled with scenic and technical bits of tarmac snaking alongside the northern riverbank of the Hawkesbury River with the twisting run up to Mangrove Mountain then down Bumble Hill and a drive along the sweeps and bends of the Yarramalong Valley then this waypoint run is for you!
After an early coffee and briefing at Maccas, we will all jump into our fives or a top down easy 42km run on the Old Northern Road from Dural to Wisemans Ferry on a Sunday morning and hopefully before the road sees much traffic. A short ferry crossing to the northern side of the Hawkesbury River for an awesome 49km drive along Wisemans Ferry Road to Spencer for your enjoyment then on a run of 37km up the twisty bits to Mangrove Mountain on a challenging section of MX-5 road.
A right hand turn before Central Mangrove Crossroads for George Downes Drive to turn off before Kulnura for the steep descent of Bumble Hill to drive the sweeps and bends along Yarramalong Valley for the M1 near Tuggerah for the Mt White slip road. Breakfast will be at the refurbished Road Warrior Café unless we have clear skies with no or little wind in which case we may decide on reaching to Wisemans Ferry to have breakfast outside in the sun at the Spencer General Store beside Mangrove Creek as a pleasant alternative.
This run is a waypoint run but in saying that, everyone is invited. As waypoint event everyone drivers at their own pace for their individual enjoyment provided they do not impede others from driving within their comfort zone or inconvenience others. The run leader will wait for up to 5 minutes (ie a gap of 5km at a leisurely 60 kph) at each waypoint to allow cars to reform before moving on.

- Intersection Bumble Hill and Yarramalong Roads Yarramalong
- Intersection of Yarramalong & Old Maitland Roads Mardi.
- Off the slip road at its intersection with the Old Pacific Highway Mt While.
- The Old Road Cafe 170 Pacific Highway Mt White
