Bridges of Paterson County
The Hunter Valley is known for both Iron and wooden bridges built from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s.
We have as a car club driven over most of these bridges at one time or another. This run links up 14 of those
19 Bridges built up until 1930. Starting from Morpeth, after dipping our toes in the Hunter River, we will work
our way up to Dungog before north west to Singleton. Then returning to finish our tour at Luskintyre where
we will do the ceremonial completion of our run by again dipping our toes in the Hunter River.
Crossing each bridge, you will be told the design and build date and along the way a bit of background
information on the different designs.
This is a fairly long run 273 km’s and will take 4 hrs driving time plus stops.
