Christmas in July (Montrose House, Canowindra)
Join James and Giulia, and a bunch of others, for a Christmas in July spectacular at Montrose House in downtown Canowindra.
Starting on Saturday July 27 from the Little Sutton Bakehouse, we’ll travel up through Gunning, Tuena, Blayney and take lunch at the pub in Carcoar; about 240 klicks all, up with comfort stops included of course!
From there, it’s on to Canowindra - about 50ks. Accommodation is still being sorted, but after settling in, we’ll head down the road to our Christmas dinner at Montrose House.
Now… on the Sunday we can head for Parkes, about 75k, to visit the Dish and the Henry Parkes Centre which has a motor museum, a museum dedicated to Elvis, a moat cottage replica, and antique machinery museum and the Henry Parkes museum!
Or, we can head to Forbes, also about 70k, which has McFeeter’s Motor Museum. Or even better, we can go to both places! It’s only 30k to Forbes from Parkes, and Sunday night accommodation will be in Forbes, accommodation to be advised.
Monday, on the road again, about 280 ks to Canberra.
