Club Motorkhana Practice Day #1
This event is now full, however the organisers are keeping a list of interested people in case spots become available. Please contact David Lawler (details above).
This motorkhana day is intended to cater for drivers who are inexperienced in car control and to provide them with a fun set of motorkhana style challenges to test and develop their skills, as well as offering some tricky bits for more experienced drivers.
Motorkhanas have the lowest entry hurdle of all motorsport activities, with no requirements for special equipment or clothing, not even helmets!
It is being held at the Sydney Motorsport Park skidpan. This is a large flat concrete area providing plenty of space for any mistakes, and the surface will be watered through the day to provide a low grip surface and also minimise wear and tear on cars and tyres.
A number of experienced club drivers from the MX-5 Club will be on hand to provide one-on-one support to the participants.
To make it easy for people to participate who don't currently hold a CAMS licence, or are not members of a CAMS affiliated car club, this event will be a non-competitive motorkhana, similar to a Come & Try day.
As this event will be run under a CAMS permit, club members will need to hold a CAMS L2NS, L2S or better licence, or a one-day CAMS L1 licence is available to those who have not previously held a CAMS licence.
The supplementary regulations disclaimer and entry forms are available below. Please read the supplementary regulations for more detailed information, and to enter complete and send the entry and disclaimer forms.
