Cruising the Clyde
For those in the “not so far south” group, meet at Heritage Bakery at traffic lights at Milton at 9:30 am for coffee, departing at 10am for the trip to Batemans Bay.
As the Merinda departs at 11.30 each day, boarding starts at 11am for the 3-hour Innes Family Cruise. The Clyde River well deserves its title as the sixth most scenic waterway in Australia.
On board you can enjoy a traditional Aussie meal of crunchy battered fish, chips and salad prepared by the Iconic Innes's Boat Shed.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are included in the cruise fare. Alternatively, you can take advantage of the licensed bar. There are also toilet facilities on board.
During the 1/2 hour stopover at Nelligen you have time to explore the famous prison tree. It was here that the infamous Clark brothers remained shackled, awaiting the steam packet to take them to Sydney where they were hung on twin gallows.
