There ain’t no problem with this run – we are going to visit Googong, Corin and Cotter dams on an easy going drive in the country.

First up is Googong Dam, just the other side of Quenabeyan. Googong is a major component of Canberra’s water supply (the largest), and right now is a smidgen under full.

Then we’ll zoom zoom out past Burra and on to Corin Dam. Corin Dam is chockers , which Icon Water tells us is about 2.5 times the volume of Lake Burley Griffin.

From Corin we will drop in at Tidbinbilla for a picnic in the grounds of the information centre. You can BYO picnic drinks, although there will be coffee, drinks, snacks and icecreams available at the information centre.

We will then finish up with a trip down the road to peek at the Cotter Dam (also chockers).

This is a rare opportunity to see our water supply at almost 100 percent capacity.

By the time you get home you will probably have done about 200 km in a fairly leisurely manner.

Not a bad way to spend a Wednesday, eh?
