Illawarra to Albury for MX-5 Fan Fest
I was originally planning to lead an Illawarra run to Albury via some fun roads south of Goulburn. However, with an out-of-control bushfire threatening Tarago, discretion has prompted a decision to tag along with the Sydney Chapter run.
This run is for those who wish to travel directly to Albury and not take the scenic route. We will be travelling in convoy down the Hume Motorway from the new McDonald's at Sallys Corner (south-bound) next to the Shell service station at Sutton Forest. Please fill up on fuel at the Shell before we leave.
We will be stopping at Gundagai Serviceman’s club for lunch and then straight to Albury Lake Hume Resort. Sutton Forest to Lake Hume is 416km and 4 hours, not including the hour lunch break.
We should arrive at Gundagai around 12:30pm for lunch and depart around 1:30pm. Please email Steph at skatz4444@yahoo.com.au if you are attending lunch at the Serviceman’s Club.
After lunch we will rejoin the Hume Motorway and travel straight to Lake Hume Resort. If you need to stop at any point, or get left behind somehow, please refer to the map below.
Dinner on Thursday night will be at lake Hume Resort from 7pm. We've arranged a 2-course set menu for $30pp (menu attached).
