Run Grading: Cruiser – a leisurely run to lunch and it is a convoy run.
WHAT IS THE ADVENTURE?
Our adventure will start at 8.45am from Figtree McDonalds, then commence with the winding roads of Mount Keira as we make our way towards the Settlers Mulgoa (via Picton) for morning tea (estimated arrival 10.15am). We will then leave the Settlers Mulgoa at 11.00am with a short drive to veer onto the Western Motorway (M4) then continue along the Great Western Hwy (A32) heading towards Blackheath. After crossing the railway at Blackheath turn onto Megalong Road and follow until you reach our destination (Megalong Valley Farm).
WHAT IS ON OFFER?
The last leg of this run will take you on the road from Blackheath into the Megalong Valley, which is one of the discovery trails on the greater Blue Mountains drive (part of the Greater Blue Mountains Heritage Area). We will spend the day absorbing the soothing tranquillity of this lovely valley with its lush, green paradise of forests and pastures whilst being surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs of the escarpment before we stop at the Megalong Valley Farm for a country style BBQ lunch.

Location: Settlers Mulgoa, 1300 Mulgoa Road, Mulgoa

For those looking to shorten the run and join us from the Settlers Mulgoa then you will need to confirm this via the BOOK NOW form. If this is you, then this will be the run check in / sign on point (Run sheet will be made available). Important note: Departure from the Settlers will be 11.00am
COUNTRY STYLE BBQ LUNCH (Megalong Valley Farm – Lunch at 1pm)
Our hosts will be Gary and Glenda Lane.
Location: 993 Megalong Road, Megalong
A lunch ticket will need to be pre-purchased for this event and participants (per person) must complete the form via the BOOK NOW button. Lunch will cost $30 per person and will include the following:
1. Enjoy steak and or sausages coupled with garden salad and a bread roll; and
2. Drink of your choice (includes bottled water or soft drink) – one per person only.
A limited selection of cold bottled beer or glass of wine is available at reasonable prices at the bar (not included in your pre-paid cost).
Take a stroll around the farm or just sit back, relax and enjoy the view together will good company.
