Apologies for the inconvenience.

Merribee is a seven acre historical property on the NSW South Coast.  It was first settled in the 1820's as dairy pastureland.  The house in the gardens is an original historical farmhouse dating back to 1850.

It has been proudly owned by Lucy and Richard Marshall since 2000. From 2001 - 2006 Lucy and Richard, together with designer James Thompson, slowly developed the plot into an ornate garden with numerous botanical blooms.  Because the land was pasture land, they were able to landscape the gardens in various shapes and sizes and various blocks of roses.  Edible gardens, White “walled” Wisteria garden, Lavender garden, but to name a few. One can only imagine the fragrance as you wander from one to the other.

There is a shop to wander through and a kiosk for refreshments. Consider the size of the boot of your car before loading it with plants etc.

We might all be inspired and full of enthusiasm to start work on our own gardens after this visit.

Join John and Chrissie for a leisurely run, followed by lunch.
