Mini run to Rylstone
Meet at Hunter Valley Visitors Centre (Cessnock Airport) for a comfort stop, and briefing ready for a 8.30am leave.
Our route will take us on a scenic tour through the Hunter vineyards to Broke and then on to the Golden Hwy past mines and picturesque horse studs at Jerrys plains with a comfort stop and morning tea at the Denman Memorial Park.
We leave Denman on the Golden Hwy and then on to the Bylong Valley Way. This is a great MX5 road with mostly good surface with its share of tight switch back corners, climbs and drops through the mountains and onto Bylong. Next stop is Rylstone to for lunch and stories at a local hotel.
For the afternoon, we attack the Bylong Valley Way in the opposite direction with afternoon tea at Denman. We then progress down the Golden Hwy and turn off to Broke and across to Pokolbin and farewells at Hunter Valley Gardens as participants choose their own route home.
A full tank of fuel is advised for this run. (Fuel is available down the road at Cessnock).
