The world is an amazing place with so much to see and experience. So many destinations, each with it's own attractions. Paris with its beautiful tower. Giza with its towering pyramids. Piza with its flagrant disregard of building codes. And then there's Eastern Creek.
Often overlooked as a tourist destination, Eastern Creek boasts an excellent motor sport facility, a hugely popular water park as well as a bevy of fine dining establishments including KFC & McDonald's.
McDonald's will be our starting location for this adventure as we pay homage to two great motor sport facilities in Sydney Motorsport Park and Mt Panorama. As is customary within the BreakFast Club, the journey takes precedence over the destination. After the Great Western Highway schlep, our route will take in the superb country lanes of Sodwalls, Tarana, O'Connell and Gormans Hill. Breakfast will be consumed at the superb Hub Cafe in Bathurst, a BreakFast Club favourite for many years due to the excellent coffee and conspicuous use of local produce (the Trunkey Creek bacon is a must).
After breakfast, a lap of Mt Panorama will take place with many opportunities for photos. A tour of the Australian Museum will also be an option for those wishing to partake. A run home through either Tarana or Oberon will be decided upon by the participants on the day.
An excellent run for those wishing to take advantage of the crisp, winter air of the Central Tablelands whilst combining this with a look at Australia's rich motor sport history.
Please note that this is a waypoint run and is graded H-XH. Participants should familiarise themselves with the waypoint guidelines and the run grading criteria before attending. More information can be found here:
