Nowra Trees Adventure
Release your inner Tarzan with a fun afternoon of flying foxes, rope challenges and cliff scrambling. Followed afterwards by homemade woodfired pizza at Don & Jacky's place.
Nowra Trees Adventure is Australia’s premier tree top adventure ropes experience. The park features exciting and challenging obstacle courses high up in the tree canopy, that will have all the family swinging, leaping, climbing and flying through the forest – allowing thrill seekers and nature enthusiasts to experience the trees like never before.
The course sessions run for 2 hours and includes training. You will then get to choose which of the tree top courses you’d like to experience at Trees Adventure. There are 6 courses, 77 challenges and 13 flying foxes.
Cost
Adults $45
Teens (10-17yo) $35
We have a group booking and if we have more than 10 adults, we will get a 10% discount.
Spectators can come and visit for free. You will be able to watch participants from the ground, but you will not have free access to the Zoo.
Getting There
We will meet at Hungry Jack's Haywards Bay (as usual), and drive down to Nowra together via Gerringong and Gerroa. Those in Nowra and further south are welcome to meet us at Nowra Trees Adventure (23 Rock Hill Road, North Nowra - at the Shoalhaven Zoo carpark).
Please note that there is a 500m walk from the reception to the Climbzone through the Shoalhaven Zoo.
What to Bring
- Waiver Form - filled out for each participant
- Water bottle and energy snack
- Comfortable & warm clothes that are easy to move in and enclosed shoes such as sneakers
- Long hair must be tied back
- Rain jacket in case of bad weather - only cancelled during thunderstorm and strong winds
- GoPro camera - supplied helmets have GoPro mounts
- Your sense of adventure!
Woodfired Pizza Dinner
Don & Jacky have generously offered to host us at their home at Bomaderry after the trees adventure. They will supply homemade pizza cooked on their woodfired oven. Yummy! There will be no charge but those attending will be encouraged to make a small donation to CareFlight. BYO drinks.
Bookings
Firm bookings with prepayment will be required by 14 May. Payment will be collected at any Illawarra Chapter events leading up to then.
