President's Picnic via the Putty

North Coast members leave Oliver's at the Donut at 8am and travel to Heatherbrae for morning tea and fuel top up. (There will be little to no chance of fuel without detour until Windsor) This section of the run will be lead by Ken Bailey and Rosy Black.
Meet the organisers Kev and Jen at the intersection of the GOLDEN HWY and the PUTTY ROAD
at MOUNT THORLEY south of Singleton at 11.45/12 NOON. From here its a 79km run to lunch at
the GREY GUM CAFE on the Putty Road.
After lunch, a great run down the Putty through Windsor and on to the MERCURE hotel on the
Windsor road at ROUSE HILL. Here we stay for 2 nights.
SATURDAY 21st:
Attend the PRESIDENTS PICNIC day at EBENEZER which is about 20km up the road. This is a great day; check out the details on the website or club magazine; you may like to enter your MX5 in one of the competitions; we can compare trophies at dinner!
SUNDAY 22nd:
After breakfast return home either by the Pacific Hwy or back up the Putty; we can discuss this over
the weekend.
This run is graded as Hard as it is a "relaxed run that includes long sections of 100-110km/hr highways and some challenging sections along the route (Putty Road). The run includes regular convenience, refreshment and point of interest stops. The distance covered is anywhere between 150-400km to lunch & back or to overnight destination at comfortable pace. Suited to confident drivers of MX-5s and should not be attempted by inexperienced drivers before completing at least one “L” run". Any queries please contact Kev Chappell the Run Organiser.
ACCOMMODATION:

COST $206 per King room per night.
DINING: Next door to the MERCURE is the FIDDLER Irish pub with various dining options all day including breakfast, so no need to drive. Saturday morning tea and lunch is included no charge at the Picnic day.
