After lunch, we are heading to Gosford via the ferry crossing, for an overnight stay at The Gosford Palms Motel, 7 Moore St West Gosford. We have reserved 15 rooms, $130 per room. ( Phone Debra 43231211 mention the MX-5 club) Most rooms are Deluxe Queen or the balance are Queen rooms, so book early you wish to be 'deluxe'! At booking time, ask for a ground floor if you require easier access.

Evening meal either the RSL down the highway, or closer to a motel - The Settlers Tavern, on the highway.

Day 2 - Thursday 26 August 2021

In the morning we will be heading for The Riverboat Postman that will ferry us for a 3 hour cruise of the spectacular Hawkesbury River.   We will enjoy morning tea and a delicious local fish'n'chip lunch on board as we sit back and see the grand old Hawkesbury at its lazy best. Seniors rate arranged for EVERYBODY at $49.00 p/p.

Leave the Motel around 8.00 a.m. although it is only a half hour drive, we need to be early - 9.00 a.m at latest as parking can be a problem. We board the ferry and depart at 10.00 am. There is a chance for a nice coffee on the wharf before we board.

Upon the ferry's return you are free to choose your route home - some will start with a twisty run up the old Pacific Highway, others will choose to head straight to the freeway.  After that the easiest way is M2 - M7 - M31 - B88 (Picton Rd) and M1
