Day 1 - Saturday

Our 2 night adventure will start at Haywards Bay with a drive to  morning tea at Goulburn, After leaving Goulburn, Mark has some great back roads for you to enjoy before we arrive at Murrumburrah-Harden for lunch at the Terracotta restaurant.

After lunch we'll enjoy a talk and viewing given by the sculptor Carl Valerius on his work of Bill the Bastard, Australia's famous warhorse. The talk is only $5 pp and includes an information leaflet. There should be time to have a look around the town and view the mural on a building.

After the talk, we'll be stopping at the Chinese Tribute Gardens which is only 4klm from Young.

It's then only a very short drive to the Cherry Blossom Motel in Young where we'll stay for 2 nights.

Members are responsible for booking their room at the hotel.

The phone number is 02 6382 1699

We've secured a group booking discount  for 8 executive Queen rooms (all that is left) for $125 per night, total $250.

Also secured are 5 standard rooms at $120 per night per room, total $230.

The rooms are both similiar size but the standard have a smaller bathroom.

They only have 3 additional standard rooms left.

There's also twin rooms available for $135 per night but I haven't secured any of those.

Room rates include a complimentary continental breakfast each morning served in the breakfast room.

WHEN BOOKING AT THE MOTEL, MENTION MY NAME, HELLA UNDERWOOD, MX5 CLUB, AS ALL ROOMS ARE SECURED USING MY CREDIT CARD.

The manager has stipulated that guests must be double vaccinated

Dinner will probably be at the Young Bowling Club. The kitchen closed last year due to covid, but it's undergoing renovations so hopefully it'll be trading by October.

Day 2 - Sunday

Sunday will be the Running of the Sheep, where they'll be let loose at high noon to run amok down the main street of Boorawa. Blink and you may miss it, but it's a lot of fun and there's plenty to see and do on the day with market stalls, a street parade, art show etc. You can spend the day at leisure in Boorowa, and lunch will be whatever you wish at either one of the cafes, pub or food stalls.

Dinner will be at the Young Services club

Day 3 - Monday

After breakfast on Monday, you can either head home, join us for lunch at a venue to be decided, or even extend your weekend if you wish for a few more days in a different town (we may do this). The choice is yours.

Book soon as the motel is already filling up, even at this early stage.
