Share the Dignity – it’s in the Bag.

We will meet at Senia and Bob’s place around 2pm to put together bags of toiletries and other items for the Share the Dignity charity.  While this is a serious cause, there’s no reason it can’t be fun!  There will be wine, nibbles and lots of chatter and laughter, as well as bag filling!  Maybe even a Sourdough bread making demonstration by Fiona?  This will be followed by a BBQ .

We have lots of bags, we just need toiletry items to fill them!  When you’re shopping, put in an extra Shampoo, Conditioner etc. when on special (list of desirable products below):

Adult bags

  • Sanitary and period products (pads, tampons, incontinence pads, reusable pads, period-proof underwear and menstrual cups). We collect this variety of period products, so everyone in need receives their preferred period product.
  • Shampoo (full size preferred)
  • Conditioner (full size preferred)
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Deodorant (roll-on or tins like No Pong only, no aerosols)
  • Soap or body wash

Teen bags

  • Sanitary and period products suitable for young bodies (pads, tampons, incontinence pads, reusable pads, period-proof underwear and menstrual cups)
  • Shampoo (full size preferred)
  • Conditioner (full size preferred)
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Deodorant (roll-on or tins like No Pong only, no aerosols)
  • Soap or body wash

Extra special additionsfor your bags

  • Books
  • Candles (in a zip lock bag)
  • Drink bottle
  • Face wipes/baby wipes
  • Face mask/hand sanitiser
  • Gift vouchers
  • Hair ties/clips/scrunchies

Gentlemen – we know you’d love to stay and sort and pack unmentionables and toiletries, but we have you covered as well!  Bob will be taking you on a tour of the Motorlife Museum at Kembla Grange (Cost $15 pp for a group), followed by a BBQ at ours, BYO drinks.

Numbers will be limited, so please register as soon as possible.

If you can’t join us, you can still participate, bring along any items on the above lists to a monthly meeting prior to October and they will be included “In the Bag”.
