Come and join Ray & Marlene for a run out to Mudgee for the ' Flavors of Mudgee ' Wine & Food Festival
As this is a 9:30 meet , you can grap a Coffee at Maccas before we head off.
This is a 3 Day Run: the Third Day is a optional Run Home Day with Lunch at Hillbilly Cider Bilpin, or you could Stay on and explore Mudgee Wineries and surrounding areas at your Leisure.
Day 1
1st Comfort stop - Jerry's Plains Camping Ground - Wambo St.
2nd Rest stop - Merriwa Cakes & Pastries - Lunch
3rd Rest stop - Cassilis Park Rest Area
From Huntlee we'll travel thru Broke Rd up the Golden Hwy to Jerry's Plains for a Comfort stop then continue on to Merriwa for an quick lunch at Merriwa Cakes & Pastries. Then continue along the Golden Hwy & Castlereagh Hwy thru Gulgong to Mudgee ( Winning Post Motel Inn )
After checking in , we'll have Nibbles & Drinks around the Pool area , at around 5.50pm we'll all head over to the Paragon Hotel for Dinner around 6 o'clock
Day 2
Breakfast - A full Hot & Cold Buffet Breakfast is included in price of the Accommodation at the Winning Post , The full hot and cold buffet breakfast at the Winning Post typically including hot items like eggs (fried/scrambled), crispy bacon, sausages, hash browns, baked beans, tomatoes, and mushrooms. Cold options generally include cereals, pastries, yogurt, fruit, toast, juice, and hot tea/coffee, but you can try any of the other Local Cafes which are a short walk from our Accommodation if you like , Butchers Cafe last year was pretty good
Lunch - After Breakfast we could head out to Burnbrae Wines for Pizza including GF, Antipasto Plates & Wine Tasting ( See Menu for Pricing ) The Wine Tasting is $5 per person and will be done in groups of 10-12 people at a time.
or the other Option is, head out to the Gulgong Pioneers & Holtermann Museums & then have lunch at the Prince of Wales Hotel for Lunch, will be asking for feed back on these beforehand
The Flavors of Mudgee Festival runs from 4pm – 8pm along Mudgee’s iconic main streets. A Tasting Package includes x 5 tasting (30mL) tokens and a Souvenir Flavours of Mudgee Tasting Tumbler - $25ea, to be purchased on the day at the Event or you can pre purchase thru TIX ( TIX per purchases doesn't seem to be up on the website yet, when it's available I'll post the link.
We'll try and grap a large table that we can use as gather point while at the Festival with our friends from RPM ( To Eat, Drink & Rest ), You can try offerings from local Wine and Food producers while enjoying live performances
We will also be booking a venue this night for Dinner or Coffee afterwards with RPM , Venue to be confirmed soon
Day 3
Breakfast will be the same as Day 2
Departure will be at 9:00am (meet in the car park at 8:50am) we will have a short stop at the Honey Haven Mudgee for a browse, shop & Mead Wine Tasting for the non-Drivers, then onto Lue Rd thru to Rylstone and through Capertee Valley and a Lunch stop at Hillbilly Cider Bilpin where the Run ends.
1st Rest stop - Ilford Rest Area
2nd Rest stop - Capertee BP for Morning Tea / coffee
3rd Rest Stop - if required as per run sheet
4th Lunch Stop - at Hillbilly Cider

There are 10 Queen Rooms that are set aside @ $250 per room per night , a discount of $50 per room off the normal rate for this weekend
