Twisty Mystery Alpine Weekend
The “Bucket List” just got longer. This is a XH waypoint run that is not to be missed. It will satisfy the most ardent admirer of our magnificent country. It has everything that any MX-5 owner could ever want when driving our amazing cars.
We will have a delightful breakfast at the Chat-Away Café in Crookwell on day one to get us in the mood for a great drive. This drive contains open gentle sweeping roads; twisting technical sections and many types of roads that the “BreakFast Club” has not in my time ever experienced, it will leave you wanting more.
The visual experience of the vast changes to landscape will delight. Stunning lake views, a magnificent waterfall and manicured farmland that will leave you gasping. Of course those that have joined us on the last few “Alps Runs” will be pleased to know that there will be a sensational afternoon tea at Khancoban. On arriving at Jindabyne we will relax on the Jindabyne Hotel Balcony, enjoy a cold beer and chat about the scintillating drive of the day. Lake Jindabyne is almost full and when you wake in the morning and gaze over the lake with the mist rising you could imagine being anywhere in the world.
Day 2 will begin with a buffet cooked breakfast; then the “Mystery Drive” that will capture the hearts of all who participate. In planning this drive and doing the dummy run to check all aspects of the route, I can say it is the best run that I have been involved in. One regret in life is one too many, miss this you have that regret.
