Walcha - Uralla Weekend Run

Time again for a great MX-5 weekend away to Walcha, one of the best MX-5 drives in NSW. Good company, meals, accommodation and roads to drive made for the MX-5.
Starting at Port Macquarie, Day 1 we will head west on the Oxley Highway to Walcha Road Hotel for lunch (1539 Wollun Road, Walcha Road), with a stop at Ginger's Roadhouse for morning tea. After lunch we travel to Dobson’s Distillery for a tasting (298 Kentucky Road, Kentucky – closes 3.30pm). Dobson’s Distillery make their own whisky, gin, vodka, etc. This will give us an opportunity to have a toast to the late Mike Walkden-Brown. Mike organized several memorable trips to Walcha.
Then to our overnight stay at Walcha Motel. We'll meet up again in the motel at 6:00pm for dinner at 6:30pm, at the Commercial Hotel (100 Commercial Ln, Walcha). I have reserved 8 rooms for the club at $106 per room. Please make your booking as soon as possible To ensure that you get a room, it is essential for you to make your own booking by calling the hotel on 02 6777 2599 and tell them you are with the MX-5 Club. Once you have made your booking, please phone or email the run organiser, Peter McDonnell, 0417 575 454, pmcd4@optusnet.com.au. The Hotel will hold the reservation for the rooms until 20th October.
For Day 2 a full breakfast in the dining room can be organized ($17.50 pp) if we have sufficient numbers. We need to advise numbers by 20th October. All to make own way home from here.
