May is the start of the Whale Watching season in Jervis Bay. June/July are recommended to be the best months for a good chance to see these majestic giants.

August 2017 was the last time the Chapter went on a Whale Watching Cruise with Brendan Barr as the organiser and run leader.

We think it’s been long enough between drinks and it would be a good time to do this event again.

The plan is to a run straight down the Princes Highway A1 and get to Huskisson in time to do the two-and-a-half-hour cruise leaving at 9.30 am. We need to be there thirty minutes before the cruise departure time.

There’s parking and toilets at the venue where we board the boat and coffee close by if you need one.

If we get a group of twenty or more the cost will be $60pp. for the cruise. We’ll go with Dolphin/Whale Watch Cruises, 15 Field Street, Huskisson. The run leaders will collect cash for the cost of the cruise at the meeting place on the morning of the event.

Bryan Shedden has indicated that those who have purchased the electronic entertainment book will find a discount voucher in it that could be used - 25% ?

Our lunch will be at Club Jervis Bay, 8 Currambene Street, Huskisson. The menu here is extensive and should cater for every one’s tastes.

Both these venues are close to each other.

This run is graded ‘Cruiser’ and according to Google Maps is about a distance of 85 kilometres and will take one hour and fifteen minutes to complete. That’s a little optimistic in our view.

RSVP: - By Monday 29th May 2023 so we can tell the venues how many of us to expect.

Please use the ‘Book Now’ button to register to attend and we will reply to you acknowledging receipt of your registration.

We look forward to seeing many of you out in our RED’s.
