Young Cherry Festival
Due to Accomodation limitations in the Young area, this run will be capped at 8 vehicles, 4 spots are already taken, so act quickly if you wish to join us.
In order that we can make the maximum use of our time at the festival, this is now a 3 day run, rather than 2 as previously advertised.
Get ready for an explosion of colour and excitement at the 75th National Cherry Festival – an event that promises not just a good time, but unforgettable moments.
We will leave Tomerong and travel via Goulburn and Boorowa where we will likely meet up with members of other chapters to arrive at our accomodation mid afternoon. Accomodation has been booked at the Harden Country motel where I have reserved 8 rooms; 6 queen @ $150 each and 2 queen and a single at $160 each. Please call the motel directly on 6386 2377 to confirm your reservation. Mention that you are with the MX5 Club of NSW so that your booking can be confirmed against my reservation.
As this is the 75th anniversary of this event there will be a number of exciting events planned. However, the program is
still being finalised. Will the record for the longest Pip Spit be shattered this year? Who’s stepping up to claim the title of the 2025 Cherry Pie Eating Champion? Sing your heart out, groove to the beats of live music, be awestruck by the dazzling fireworks, become a part of the colourful parade and for those who are curious about cherries why not try your hand at cherry picking. Or, if ‘do it yourself’ is not for you, then enjoy the freshly picked cherries available at the orchard stalls.
After all the action of Saturday, don’t even think about hitting the snooze button or you will miss the Big Breakfast on Sunday morning. Share laughter and stories with the charismatic Bush Poets, and witness the talent of Working Kelpies.
