Zoom into Spring – AKA the Poet’s Dilemma Run

Day 1 Saturday 18 September 2021
Join us on a run for an overnight stay in Orange, zooming the roads less travelled, where, of course the journey is just as important as the destination.
On day 1 we will assemble at Hungry Jacks Haywards Bay at 8.30 am for a 9.00 am departure to Bundanoon where we take a coffee break. Then we will travel down the Highlands Way via Goulburn to Crookwell for lunch.
Following lunch, we will continue via Trunkey Creek, Tuena, and Blayney to arrive at Millthorpe where there will be time to visit the eclectic shops or sit on a chair outside the eclectic shops. There is also a nice little pub for cool drinks.
Next, we travel to Orange arriving around 4.15 pm at the West End Motor Lodge, 2-6 Dalton Street, where 15 rooms ($140 / room) have been set aside. Please contact the motel - 63625755 and mention MX5 Club to secure a room.
Of course, there will be the traditional drinks and nibbles at the Motel (byo). We also plan to hold- ‘Fun’ Trivia at the Motel. For those of you who have done our trivias before, the word ‘fun’ is to be taken loosely.
A booking for dinner has been made for 7.30 at the Royal Hotel in Orange.

Day 2 Sunday 19/9/2021
Breakfast will be do your own thing
9.00–We will depart Orange for a cruise to Cowra where a booking for morning tea has been made at the Japanese Gardens Café for coffee/cake. (Pre order details TBA) There will be time to visit the gardens.
Our next leg sees us zooming via Frogmore and Boorowa to Bowning where lunch has been booked at the Rollonin Café. (pre- order details TBA – note it is also BYO with a small cover charge)
After lunch go your own ways.
