2025 motorsports awards dinner

For the last two years, the MX-5 Club has been celebrating the end of the motorsport competition year with a dinner, at which we have been presenting the the Club championship, MX-5 Cup and motorkhana trophies.

Initially, this event was started to celebrate the 10th year of the MX-5 Cup, but the first event was such a great success, we decide to hold it again last year. That was also a good event. It was a great opportunity to socialise, enjoy some great food, and swap yarns about the events through the year. It was just a great way to round out the year.

So, when we got towards the end of 2025, we thought - why not hold the event again?

Unfortunately, the cost of the event has increased in 2025, so while the club has continued to subsidise the event, the payment we needed from attendees has had to increase a bit.

With three weeks to go though, we don't have a great number of entries. The club really wants to hold the event, but we have a minimum number of 50 attendees - that's how many we need to pay for, no matter how many we actually have registered.

If we can't get close to 50 registrations then unfortunately the event cannot go ahead.

If club members (especially motorsport members) think that the event is worth keeping, we really need those members to show their support by registering for the event.
