A Wet and Wonderful Run to Warnie's

Despite the winter weather doing its best to keep us at home, six enthusiastic MX-5s gathered at Myuna Bay Park for today's club run to Warnie's at Warnervale. The lineup featured a nice mix of generations, including an NA, two NC's and three ND's, proving once again that the love of MX-5 motoring spans every era of the marque.
With rain falling steadily and temperatures firmly on the chilly side, we set off from Myuna Bay and turned off at Dora Creek, taking the scenic back roads through Cooranbong. The route along Mandalong Road and Hue Hue Road provided plenty of beautiful countryside views, even if they were enjoyed through rain-speckled windscreens.
The weather may have been wet, but spirits were anything but dampened. As always, the camaraderie and conversation were as much a highlight as the drive itself. The winding roads gave everyone an enjoyable run, and the sight of six MX-5s travelling together brightened an otherwise grey day.
Our destination, Warnie's at Warnervale, certainly did not disappoint. The food was terrific, with everyone enjoying a hearty meal after the drive. However, it was the desserts that stole the show—an unbelievable selection that had many of us wondering whether we'd left enough room after lunch. Judging by the smiles around the table, they were every bit as good as their reputation suggests.
It was great to see John Morgan and his pristine NA on the run.
A sincere thank you goes to Jen and George Boyko for organising both the run and the venue. Your efforts were greatly appreciated and helped make the day a fantastic success.
Rain, cold weather, great roads, wonderful friends and outstanding food—another MX-5 club run to remember.
