At the Fiddler with RPM

Fiddlers with RPM.
A small group of eight members set out from Glenbrook. It was very cold, and we were all sure that it was snowing somewhere not too far away. Heading up the Mountains to Springwood and back down Hawkesbury Road we added to our convoy by one more car bringing our group to ten. We travelled through Box Hill and Nelson and arrived at the Fiddler a little early for our lunch.
As a group who really prefer keeping well off the beaten track, it was disappointing to see the extensive development in this previously rural area. New homes were everywhere.
We were perplexed to find that staff had allocated our group to a high table with stools and as some of our ladies are quite petite in stature, we realised that it was simply not workable. I was a bit annoyed as I was not asked when booking about seat preferences. In fact, I did not even realise that it was a thing.
However, The Fiddler did redeem themselves as they have a senior’s special from Monday to Friday. In fact, that is why we chose them. If you purchase a meal the second meal is free, which makes it very affordable.
As always, our little group enjoyed good company and lively conversation and it was great to have Sandra, Graham and Rob from the Sydney Chapter come along for the fun.
