Trip to Berrima 23rd October 2022
Meeting at the Settlers in Mulgoa is always a great place for a “Meet and Greet”.
14 members from Sydney and RPM chapters enjoyed a catch-up chat with coffee. Long-time friends and new members alike looking forward to a two- hour cruise through familiar roads and scenery to the historic town of Berrima and Surveyor General Hotel.
Heading south through Silverdale we picked up John Molden and proceeded via the Oaks and Mowbray Park Road to Thirlmere. Turning right through Balmoral and Colo Vale took us for a 500 meter run on the freeway and back onto the old Hume Highway and to Mittagong veering left at the clock and down to Berrima.
Local councils are doing a great job fixing all the flood damage, but such is the workload fixing the major holes has allowed the minor ones to become dangerous. But, managing to escape damaging cars we turned up early at the pub who skilfully increased the table size and made us comfortable.
Variations on classic pub food were enjoyed by all while the smiling faces enjoyed the company.
As always, a great day out. Thanks Brigid and Ron.
