Bodalla Pub Run
18 July 2023
With the sun up and not too early, conditions were right for tops down on our little car. Arriving early at the appointed start location we find Rick and Christine already waiting, shortly joined by Fred and Kim.
The trip south was marked by road works, especially on the coast road south of Batemans Bay but our pace was sedate in any case, paced to enjoy the views along the coast. Turning off through Mossy Point we were soon at our coffee stop, Killibinbin Café at Broulee where we met our motor sport chapter member, Mal Smith, for our morning break. Enjoying delicious home-made honey cakes and more convivial chat it was soon time to journey on to Bodalla for lunch. Being Tuesday the Pub was busy but not crowded and, after being shown to our table we ordered drinks and meals.
The food at Bodalla Pub is home cooked and excellent and we enjoyed dishes ranging from Nachos to a seafood basket. After lunch came the mandatory visit to the Bodalla Creamery to sample and buy their excellent cheeses.
With fine weather and excellent company, we had another great day out with our MX5s.
