Burrill Lake Fish and Chips

A very brief tale…..we came, we ate, we socialised, and then we went!

A fish and chips picnic at Burrill Lake in June?  Our originally planned fish and chips get together in a park in the cold and wind of last Sunday seemed like a very bad idea…..it was also a long weekend, and the traffic flow between Burrill and Ulladulla is notoriously slow.

So, on to Plan B - a change of venue to indoors (sort of) at Mollymook's Salt & Spencer restaurant seemed like a perfect solution!  The restaurant is located on the ground floor of Mollymook Golf Club.   Recently renovated, the area spills out to views of the sandy beach of Mollymook. Surprisingly the bifold windows remained open for that “beachy vibe”, so some of us still felt the breeze.

The six of us enjoyed lunch of fish and chips or something else and a chat, then a further chat upstairs over a warming cuppa.

A small but cosy group, and an enjoyable day with our MX5 Club friends.
