It was a hot summer's day....and Ann and Senia carried out their final duty as 2024 Convenors, organising and hosting the 2024 Illawarra Christmas Party at Passionate Palate Cafe

Air conditioner was running full blast at Passionate Palate but the heat was on! Food was delicious, drinks were cold, service was fabulous, so we didn't mind too much about the heat.

Fifty seven members laughed, ate, drank and celebrated each other.  We presented 12 members with a fabulous 35th anniversary of MX-5 board (engraved by Phil Betts).  These are the people that put their time and effort into providing some interesting runs and trips for all of us through the year. They were:

Phil Reid (in absence) for Mazdas in the Mist, a monthly breakfast run
Bryan and Fiona Shedden for Kangaroo Valley Twilight run (annual), High Country HiJinx, Buderoo Loop, Steampunk
Lesley and Peter Willing for Eling Forest Winery and Cars and Coffee in the Southern Highlands
Lena and Wes for Yulefest on a Paddlewheeler
Mark and Hella (in Hella's absence) for Pedro's Run to the Border
Tony Cox for Spirit of Vietnam Vets
John and Chrissie Zaremba for Bundeena Mystery Run
Jan Gibson (in absence) for Midweek Feast of Lookouts
Bryan and Ann Hicks for Twilight Bowls, Pelican Rocks, Rangers Twisters and Temora V8 Boats
Franchesca Fenn for looking after our Regalia
Brendan Barr for helping us out on all Web issues
Paul and Dianne Byers for "Almost" Montague Island
Zan Dimovski and Phil Betts for Jamberoo Car Show,, WBTW High Tea at Peppers Sutton Forest and Engraving of boards for Volunteer Gifts.

and Wally for stepping in whenever Phil is not available for Mazdas in the Mist

We proudly presented our Member of the Year Award to Bryan Shedden.

New Members of the Year award was presented to Zan Dimovski and Phil Betts, who are also our 2025 Convenors.  Zan and Phil were also the MX-5 Club of NSW New Members of the Year.
