Illawarra Twilight Trek to Mount Kembla Pub was our final Twilight Trek for 2022.  

This monthly run, also known as TGIF Run, new to 2022, has been a huge success, with on average 20 - 30 members attending every month, both from the Illawarra and other chapters.  It’s been a chance to end a busy week with a run in a few different directions, culminating in dinner and catch up and lively conversation shared by members of various chapters each month.

November was our final one for the year, so we thought we’d do a bit of a scenic drive and sight seeing along the way.  Travelling along some of our favourite roads, recently re-opened after major road repairs, we stopped at Mount Keira lookout, where we were treated to some spectacular scenery, with low cloud cover masking the horizon and blending the ocean and sky to create an appearance of “flying ships” of the container vessels sitting out at sea.  Comparison to the Zeppelin, World War 1 and 2 “blimps”, was made, while the horizon disappeared further and we were again “Mazdas in the Mist”.
