Midweek Mystery Run heads down the Putty

Wow summer is here! And beautiful day to be driving our passions.

Another successful midweek run in the Hunter and a glorious sunny day with 8 shiny MX-5s and 10 members headed off via Mount Sugarloaf bends towards the picturesque village of Mulbring onto more bends and straights with open green pastures through the towns of Quorrobolong, Paxton and Millfield then onto a convenience break at Wollombi.

From there it was to be somewhat more narrow challenging bends to the little village of Broke and ...

Did I mention what a great day this was?

The Putty Road was next and is one of the best if not THE best road to let the reins loose and experience why we all drive MX-5s. It was a "go at your own pace" south to the Grey Gum Cafe but most stayed together and enjoyed this fabulous road.

Lunch and a chat completed and was some of the same roads only in reverse towards home.

A de-brief at Potters Inn at Nulkaba for a wind-down beer and farewells was had. Also a warm welcome to first runs new members Ann & Keith Webster. We sure threw Anna into the deep for her first club run but passed with flying colours.

My personal thanks to all whom rolled up and nothing left to say except from the words of Max: "BEST-EVA Midweek Run - EVA , 300kms of Sheer Bliss....!"
