Motorsport Presentation Night

A great event was attended by 92 MX-5 Club members, guests and sponsors who enjoyed our inaugural Motorsport Presentation Evening at Benzin Café Dural on Saturday 2nd Dec 2023.

This milestone motorsport event celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the MX-5 CUP, with many of the previous champions and runners-up present, including Cameron Macarthur, Verne Johnson, Stuart McFadyen, Steve Green, and Rob Herrick. The event also provided a wonderful opportunity to present trophies for Club Trackdays, Club Motorkhana and Regularity.

Thank you to the Committee who made this event free for all Club Members. A delicious Japanese fusion buffet was served by Daniel from Benzin Café. Beers, wines & soft drinks were supplied by MX5 Mania, our Club Sponsor.

A big thank you to Simone & Elise Raddatz from MX5 Mania for selling raffle tickets and helping us raise $1671 for our charity Careflight.

Thank you Kumho Tyres Australia and Prime Race Tyres for donating two sets of race tyres for the raffle. Verne Johnson and Eddie Fong were the lucky winners. Gai-Louise Iezzi was the lucky winner of the SnapOn toolkit valued at $1650. Congrats to all the other lucky raffle prize winners taking away MX5 Mania Gift Packs & Nankang Sloppy Joes & Camping Chairs.

Thank you Lou Iezzi for presenting the Russ Maxwell encouragement award to a very excited MX-5 CUP Driver Sarah Medley.
