Firstly, sorry for not producing a weekly roundup last week.

This weeks featured photo is from Rob Wilkins and shows Luke Kovacic in his Yaris followed by Paul Nudd and David Brown at the 2nd April NSW Supersprint.

12/4/2023: A correction to the description of the featured photo. The red NC MX-5 is driven by Paul Nudd, not Ralph Thompson as originally described.

The club is organising a non-competition practice day at a Luddenham Raceway track day on Saturday 6th May. Completed Events

NSW Supersprint - Round 2 - Sunday 2nd April

The 2nd round of this years NSW Supersprint Championship was held on the Sydney Motorsport Park GP Circuit on Sunday 2nd April. Despite the wet weather, a hardy group of 6 members of our MX-5 Club braved the conditions to compete in the championship for themselves and for our club.

Both Luke Kovacic and Jie Ren won their classes, and also their type competitions. Luke was also 4th fastest outright in his Yaris, beating a number of drivers in much more capable cars.

David Brown as 1st in his class, Ralph Thompson and Jimi Bloodworth were 3nd, and Edward Baker was 3rd in class.

Paul Nudd also competed as a non-championship driver.

The MX-5 Club sits 3rd in the championship, well behind the ARDC and HDT/HSV clubs, and just in front of Road and Track Drivers Club, Porsche Club NSW and BMW Drivers Club NSW.
